Great news~

Hey guides! There will be no guides until further notice. Probably right after EOYs. But we'll let you know again. Anyway, bear in mind that you still have to submit your profis to your PLs by 15th Sept. PLs to submit to me by 16th Sept. The profis are VERY IMPORTANT so PLs help me keep track of your members!
Anyway, this also does not mean that south div day is off. It's still on, on the 25th Sept, and the details will be finalised on monday during your respective meetings during recess.

Thanks and happy hols! (or what's left of it anyway...)

Hostess Badge

Hey guides! I know it's the September hols now, and you all need to study, but we also need you to do a simple profi badge: Hostess Badge. The guidelines have been uploaded, but in case you can't find it, you can download it from http://www.mediafire.com/scgsguides. Note that there are two parts. You have to fill in the Annex and also write 2 letters.

For those who have ushered during National Day, you need not fill in the Annex. You just need to write the 2 letters.

Other activities that you can use for this would be helping out in food reception during school events and such. BUt if you want to use this, your badge might take slightly longer to process because the guiders have to check whether you really did it! So my suggestion is just to host your family!

For those who were not involved in ushering, you can just simply host your family or friends, and get them to sign on the Annex. You have to complete BOTH the annex and the letters!

We really need your help in order to achieve gold for our PNA, so please do your part! Other guides who have completed this badge can also do some more profis to boost out PNA score!(:

Hand it in on the 15th of September. Thanks!

Thanks and happy holidays!(:

South Div Day

Thanks(:

Firelighting Training

Firelighting Training remains on Tuesday September 6th, 8AM to 12PM.
Secs 3s and Sec 2s report at the Guides Room.
Details on the firelighting practical test can be found in the blue clauses booklet. Please read up beforehand.

Sec 3s who have not passed fire should do their best to attend and take the test on that day. Sec 2s who want to practice fire are also welcome.

BRING YOUR OWN PUNK AND KINDLING.

Leaves should be paper-dry, not too thick or waxy, and crush like paper (not breaking immediately).
Twigs should be as thin as possible.
Bring more of everything than necessary as you will likely be repeating the firelighting one or more times.

Thanks.
