ONE


Round One Games (No repeating names in the same Round)

4. Blow Wind Blow
  • 2 guides  
  • A chosen player will choose whom to be “blown away” – e.g. People with short hair
  • The players in this category will have to get up and scramble for a seat.
  • The number of seats will keep getting reduced to a few final rounds to differentiate the winners

5. Princess Resilience
  • 4 guides  
  • The teams of 4 would be given 4 tasks to complete to test their endurance. E.g. of tasks could be supporting an object with the head, standing on one leg etc.
  • The last three teams who are able to fulfil the tasks would emerge as winners

6. 5-Legged Family Race
§ 4 guides 
§ Within their teams, Guides are to dress up as a family using the props provided. Then, they are to tie their right leg to the left leg of the person on their right, and left leg to the right leg of the person on their left, etc., and race in a five-legged race.
§ The three teams with the best timings will be awarded prizes.

7. Different Roles in a Family
§  3 guides  
§  At the ‘Mum’ station, there will be unfolded clothes which Guides at this station will have to fold and pile up neatly.
§  At the ‘Dad’ station, Guides will have to type out an exact copy of a passage of words/symbols on a laptop.
§  At the ‘Child’ station, Guides are to solve all of the given sums correctly.
§  Once done with their task, they can go to another station to help a ‘family.

Round TWO Games (Guides from Round One may be repeated here)

4. Protect your Turf
  • 2 Guides  
  • Participating schools would draw lots to compete with one another. One school would be the “Shooter” while the other would be the “Guardian” protecting the treasures (cones).
  • The shooter must aim at the cones which are “protected” and do not throw/roll the balls at the players.
  • The Guardians would stand in front of the cones lined up behind them and prevent them from being hit. The “Shooters” would have to throw/roll the 4 balls to hit the cones (within a time frame of 20 seconds).
  • After 20 seconds, the schools swop their roles. Each school only has 4 throws.

5. Collage – What is Family to You?
  • 3 guides - PLEASE BRING FAMILY PHOTOS, DECORATIVE MATERIALS, SCISSORS & GLUE
  • Guides are to use their pictures and decorative materials, along with provided magazines and newspaper, to create a collage of what family means to them.
  • A3 paper will be provided. Each team has 40 minutes to complete their collages, after which they have to make a 1-min presentation
  • Guides are to listen to other Guides’ thoughts on family, and understand what family means to them. The 3 most meaningful and creative collages will receive prizes.

6. Just A Skip Away
  • 4 guides  
  • Each team will pick a theme and be given a list of related words to guess.2 members will turn the skipping rope, and another 2 will skip.
  • 1 skipping member will face the given words, and try to drop hints to the other skipping member, who must befacing the opposite direction.
  • Each team will be given 5 min to guess as many words as possible. They can change the skipping combination at any point in time, but will not be given extra time for changing.

  • 4 guides  
  • The fastest 3 teams to complete the 5 stations will win.
  • Station 1 involves a bit of badminton, Station 2 involves a 5-legged race, Station 3 involves transferring pingpong balls, Station 4 involves dressing up as a family, Station 5 is a photo-taking opportunity
