South Div Playoffs @ SCGS Committees

These names will just be the names of the girls who volunteered for the activities! Do look out over the next week for your participating activity groups!

Brownies Hair Braiding:

Games:

Picture Imperfect:

You will need:
   ·       A pair of scissors
   ·       Glue
   ·       Decorative items
   ·       Cardboard
   ·       A given photo

Teams:
   ·       3 members (does not need family member, but if present, earns some extra points)
(about 20 participating teams in total)

In this activity, the family members will work together to create a completely different picture from the original by cutting up parts of the picture and disarranging them. They will also decorate a cardboard frame for the picture using different items. Points will be awarded based on how creative the decorations are and how different and wacky the picture is from the original. This activity aims to show that families aren’t perfect but that it is the imperfect moments that make the best memories.


*Please bring extra scissors and art materials for this activity.

Home Sweet Home:

     You will need:
   ·       Lego bricks/ Building blocks 
    Time:
   ·       The game will be run in two 20-minute rounds (5-6 teams per round)
    Teams:
   ·       4 members, including 1 family member.
    (About 10-12 teams in total)


    In this game, the family members will work together and construct a house together using the blocks or cards. Points will be given based on teamwork and final product. This game aims to impart the knowledge that everyone plays a part in a family and that a home isn’t just a house. The house symbolizes family.

*Please bring as many building blocks/Lego as possible to use for this game

Office Tennis:

      You will need:

   ·       Two clipboards
   ·       A crumpled ball of paper
   ·       A waste paper basket

     Team:
   ·       Two members including family member
    Time:
   ·       The game will be run in 5 minute rounds. Two teams will play each round.
     (Total of about 8-10 teams)

     Prior to game start, place the waste paper basket a few metres away.
     When the clock starts, using the clipboards as paddles, the players must volley the paper ball back and forth and land it in the basket then return to starting point and repeat to score as many goals as you can in the given time.
     Family members work together to play this game. Even a slight miscalculation by one member can result in failure. It is an “office” version of tennis, to show that adults can even have fun at work. This game is designed to encourage parents to join and cooperate with their kids and also have lots of fun!
